Scarborough Airport Limo
Your Scarborough airport limo, timed to your corner of the district
A Scarborough airport limo is a longer job than most people expect. You are not popping over to the airport, you are crossing the entire city to get there. Toronto Pearson sits about 20 km northwest of downtown, on the Mississauga side, and Scarborough sits at the opposite corner of Toronto against the Rouge River and the Pickering line. From Scarborough Civic Centre that is roughly 40 km of driving, and almost all of it is Highway 401.

So this page is mostly about time. Which route your chauffeur takes, what the 401 is doing at the hour you are travelling, and how early the car needs to be at your door. If you are coming the other way, the section on Door A below covers exactly where your driver meets you at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.

01 · YOUR CORNER OF SCARBOROUGH
Where does a Scarborough airport limo pick you up?
Anywhere in the district, but the answer matters more here than in most of Toronto. Scarborough runs from Victoria Park Avenue in the west out to the Rouge River and the Pickering line in the east, and from Steeles Avenue and Markham in the north down to Lake Ontario. That is a lot of ground, and 629,941 people lived on it at the 2021 census.
The practical effect is that two pickups in the same district can be completely different jobs. A car leaving Birch Cliff near the Bluffs is already down by the lake. A car leaving Malvern or Rouge in the northeast starts at the top corner of Toronto and gets on the 401 straight away. Agincourt, Woburn, Scarborough Village, Guildwood, Galloway, West Hill and Highland Creek sit somewhere in between, and each gets its own pickup time rather than a district average.

We pick up at houses, condo lobbies and the hotels around Scarborough Town Centre, the fifth largest mall in Canada and the easiest landmark here to direct a driver to. A lot of our repeat work runs to and from the University of Toronto Scarborough, Centennial College and Scarborough Health Network sites. Visitors add the Toronto Zoo, Rouge National Urban Park and the Bluffs.
If you are not sure how to describe your address, give us the nearest major intersection and the building name. A chauffeur who works this district knows the difference between the Guildwood streets and the Guildwood GO area, and it is faster to settle that when you book.

02 · THE ROUTE
Is the 401 or the 407 the better call to Pearson?
Nine times out of ten it is Highway 401, because the 401 is the direct line. It runs straight across the top of Toronto from Scarborough to the Highway 427 interchange, and the 427 drops you at the airport. No toll, no detour, and nothing extra appears on your invoice.
The 407 ETR runs parallel to the 401 but further north, through Markham and Vaughan, and it is a toll road. From the northern edge of Scarborough, so Malvern, Rouge or north Agincourt, it is a genuine option because you are already close to it. From Birch Cliff or Guildwood you would spend the time you saved just getting up there. The honest rule is that the 407 is worth the toll when the 401 is broken, not as a default.
The third option is the southern one, down to the Don Valley Parkway and along the Gardiner. From the lakeshore neighbourhoods it looks shorter on a map, but it runs you through the downtown core and then back out west to the 427, so in daylight it is usually the slowest of the three. It earns its place late at night, and when something is blocking the 401 in Etobicoke.
Your chauffeur checks all three before leaving, not after you are in the car. If we put you on the 407 because the 401 is closed, the toll shows on your invoice at cost.

03 · PICKUP TIMING
How long does it take to get from Scarborough to Pearson?
With no traffic at all, about 39 minutes from Scarborough Civic Centre over roughly 40 km. That figure comes from a routing engine on open map data with an empty road. It is the honest floor, not what you will get.
You will get it at two in the morning. You will not get it at eight on a Tuesday. This run uses almost the whole length of the 401 through North York, and that is the stretch that goes wrong first. Weekday mornings and the late afternoon can add a great deal to the drive, and we will not print a number for that, because it changes with the day, the weather and whatever happened at Keele Street ten minutes ago.
What moves your pickup time
- Your corner. Malvern and Rouge start further east than Birch Cliff, and that shows up at the end of the drive.
- The hour. Weekday mornings and the late afternoon are the two windows where the 401 costs you real time.
- Your terminal. Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are separate buildings, and the airport road loop adds minutes.
- Domestic or international. An overseas departure needs a longer check-in window than a hop to Montreal.
- Weather. Snow on the 401 changes everything, and in winter we move pickups earlier by default.

So we work backwards. You tell us your flight time and your terminal, we look at the hour and your corner of Scarborough, and we set a pickup that puts you at the curb with room to spare. That usually means leaving earlier than feels necessary. Being an hour early at Pearson is boring. Being fifteen minutes late is a missed flight.
Good to know: Toronto's bylaw requires a limousine trip to be pre-arranged through a licensed company at least 20 minutes before pickup. That is the legal minimum. For a Scarborough run we want far more notice, because the car has to reach you first.
04 · EARLY FLIGHTS
What time do you come for a 6 am flight?
This is the booking we do most from Scarborough, and it is where a private car clearly earns its money. A 6 am departure out of Terminal 1 usually means a pickup between 3:30 and 4, depending on where in the district you are and whether you are flying overseas.
At that hour the TTC is not running in any useful way, and rideshare supply in the east end of Scarborough is thin. Drivers are asleep. You can open an app at 3:45 in Malvern and watch the price climb while nothing moves toward you. That is the real reason people out here pre-book.
A pre-arranged car works differently. The chauffeur is assigned the night before and the driver is on your street ahead of the time we gave you. If you would rather have a call or a text than a doorbell that wakes the house, say so on the booking.
In winter this matters more. Toronto limousines are required to run winter tires from 1 December to 30 April and to carry the limousine plate on the front grill. Neither is guaranteed by whatever car an app sends you at four in the morning in February.

05 · VEHICLES, KIDS AND BAGS
Which vehicle should you book, and can you fit car seats?
Book by luggage, not by headcount. That is the most common mistake on this route and it always surfaces at the curb, never on the phone.
A sedan handles one to three passengers with normal luggage. An SUV is the right call for four to six people, or a smaller group with large cases, golf clubs or a stroller. A Sprinter van takes ten or more, which is what you want for a family travelling with grandparents, a student move to UTSC, or a group on the same flight.
Child seats are available for infants, toddlers and boosters, and they are free. Ask when you book and tell us the child's age and weight so the right seat is fitted before the car leaves. Under Ontario law a child under 8 who weighs under 36 kg needs a proper seat or booster, so it is not an optional extra, and it is not something to improvise at four in the morning with a sleeping toddler on your shoulder.
One limit is worth knowing before a large group asks for a stretch. At Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, vehicles must be under 4.5 metres to use the Arrivals and Departures curbs, so a stretch limousine cannot make a normal curbside pickup at Pearson. For an airport run the right large vehicle is a Sprinter.
06 · THE OTHER WAYS
Is the TTC or the UP Express cheaper from Scarborough?
Yes, both are cheaper, and on some trips they are the better choice. We would rather tell you that than sell you a car you do not need.
The TTC route is the obvious one. You get yourself to Kennedy or Scarborough Centre station, ride west across the city, and change to the airport bus at the western end of the line. It costs a fare and it works. What it costs you is time and handling, because you are moving your own luggage through two or three transfers and across the full width of Toronto.
The UP Express is the other one. It runs between Union Station and the airport and it is quick and comfortable once you are on it. The catch from Scarborough is that Union is downtown, so you travel southwest before you travel northwest, and you still do that first leg on the TTC with your bags. From out here it is a downtown train that happens to serve the airport.
Transit wins when you are one or two people, travelling in daylight, with a bag you can carry, and your budget matters more than your morning. A private car wins on a pre-dawn pickup, a family with car seats, three large suitcases, an elderly passenger or a late landing.
One more honest option. If a relative is collecting you at Pearson in their own car, the airport's Free Waiting Areas let them wait in a parked car free for up to 45 minutes, and Express Pass gives up to 20 minutes free in the covered garages at Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. That is cheaper than any of us.
07 · WHAT IT COSTS
Why is there a floor under the price, and what should a quote include?
We quote a flat rate for the car, agreed before you travel, rather than a meter that climbs while you sit on the 401. The rate depends on the vehicle, your pickup point in Scarborough and how many people and bags you have, so the honest answer on a web page is that you get a quote for your own trip.
What we can tell you is that there is a legal floor, and it is the most useful thing on this page when you compare companies. Scarborough is part of the City of Toronto, so Toronto's vehicle for hire bylaw applies. Chapter 546 says no limousine service company may charge less than the amounts in Appendix D, the limousine tariff to Lester B. Pearson International Airport, for a trip starting in Toronto and ending at Pearson. It also sets a minimum of $70 plus tax per hour for the first two hours.
Three questions to ask any company
- Is HST included in the number you just gave me, or added afterwards?
- Is the airport pre-arranged fee included, or does it appear at the curb?
- Is gratuity included, and if we need the 407, is the toll billed at cost?
So a suspiciously cheap Scarborough to Pearson limo quote is not a bargain, it is a signal. Either the company is not licensed for limousine work in Toronto, or the number is not what you will end up paying. Every licensed owner files a rate schedule with the city and keeps a copy in the vehicle to show on request.
From the other direction, the airport is clear about what a fair number looks like. Licensed taxis and limos leaving the Pearson curb charge flat rates with no surge pricing, a limo runs roughly 10 percent more than a taxi, and taxes are included. You can also ask a Ground Transport Services agent on the arrivals level what the rate to your address should be.

Scarborough Airport Limo FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Still have a question? Call us any time at (647) 525-5466.
How long does it take to get from Scarborough to Pearson airport?
About 39 minutes over roughly 40 km from Scarborough Civic Centre with an empty road. That is the floor, not the plan. The drive uses almost the whole length of the 401 through North York, so weekday mornings and the late afternoon run considerably longer. We set the pickup around your flight, your terminal and your corner of Scarborough.
Should my driver take the 401 or the 407 to the airport?
The 401 by default. It is the direct line from Scarborough to the 427 and Pearson, with no toll. The 407 ETR is the northern toll bypass and it makes sense from Malvern, Rouge or north Agincourt when the 401 is blocked. The Don Valley Parkway and Gardiner route is a late night option, not a daytime shortcut.
Which parts of Scarborough do you pick up from?
All of it. Agincourt, Malvern, Woburn, West Hill, Highland Creek, Guildwood, Galloway, Scarborough Village, Birch Cliff and Rouge, plus the hotels around Scarborough Town Centre, the University of Toronto Scarborough, Centennial College and Scarborough Health Network. Give us the nearest major intersection when you book.
What time should the car come for a 6 am flight out of Pearson?
Usually between 3:30 and 4 am from Scarborough, earlier for an overseas departure, a Malvern or Rouge pickup, or snow. Toronto's bylaw requires the trip to be pre-arranged at least 20 minutes before pickup, but for a pre-dawn run you want to book the day before.
Can you provide car seats for children?
Yes. Infant, toddler and booster seats are available and they are free. Tell us the child's age and weight when you book so the right seat is fitted before the car leaves for Scarborough. Ontario law requires a proper seat or booster for a child under 8 who weighs under 36 kg.
Is the UP Express or the TTC a better way to Pearson from Scarborough?
Cheaper, definitely. Better, sometimes. The TTC works in daylight with light luggage if you can get to Kennedy or Scarborough Centre station and ride west. The UP Express means going into Union Station downtown first, which is the wrong direction from Scarborough. Neither suits a 4 am departure or a family with car seats.
Why are some Scarborough to Pearson limo quotes so cheap?
Because a licensed Toronto limousine company cannot legally go below Appendix D of Chapter 546 for a trip starting in Toronto and ending at Pearson, or below $70 plus tax per hour for the first two hours. A quote under that floor usually means the car is not licensed, or the number grows once fees, tax and gratuity are added.
